Am 1.M\u00e4rz fand in Berlin\u00a0 im Bona Peiser Kulturzentrum die von der Kollektivbibliothek mitorganisierte Veranstaltung zu Georg Welzel mit dem Buchautor Ra\u00fal Riebenbauer statt. Die sp\u00e4rlich besuchte Veranstaltung wurde einen Tag sp\u00e4etr mit diesmal \u00fcber 40 Besucher*innen in Cottbus, dem Geburtsort von Georg Welzel wiederholt. \"\"Das Buch dazu in spanischer Sprache unter dem Titel „El Silencio de Georg“, 2021 in dem Verlag La Vor\u00e1gine in Santander ver\u00f6ffentlicht, kann bei uns ausgeliehen werden.<\/p>\n

Diese Film-Dokumentation zeigt die Geschichten von 14 Menschen w\u00e4hrend der Nazi-Besetzung Griechenlands. Auf Grundlage der Erinnerung von vierzehn Menschen an die Zeit des 2. Weltkriegs in Athen, entstand ein Film \u00fcber das kollektive Ged\u00e4chtnis, den Kampf eines Volkes gegen italienische Faschisten, deutsche Nazis und ihre griechischen Kollaborateure.<\/p>\n

Augenzeugenberichte veranschaulichen den antifaschistischen Kampf der Athener von der Zeit der grossen Hungersnot 1941-42 bis zur Befreiung Athens.<\/p>\n

Der Film fand grosse Beachtung auf dem Workers Unite Film Festival 2018 in New York City. Er besticht durch seltenes Archivmaterial, dem vibrierenden Sound der griechischen Indie-Gruppe drog_A_tek <\/em><\/p>\n

The Partisans of Athens is a new documentary about the Resistance during the Nazi Occupation of Athens (1941-1944). Fourteen people recall memories from that period.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film is about collective memory, about an entire people\u2019s struggle against Italian Fascists, German Nazis, and their Greek collaborators. Based on the testimonials of those who took part in the resistance, The Partisans of Athens sheds light on stories of struggle from the period of the great famine of 1941-42 to the liberation of Athens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 14 protagonists create a mosaic of experiences, struggles, and expectations of men and women who chose to stand against defeatism and collaboration with Nazism. Including rare archival material, the original music score of drog_A_tek and footage of historic neighborhoods in today\u2019s Athens. <\/strong><\/p>\n
